ACCU-DART
Simplify Serial & Lot Control
For many businesses, tracking serial and lot information is crucial to maintaining accurate inventory. This is particularly important for industries that are required to track serial and lot information for legal reasons, like those in the food distribution or pharmaceutical industries. In the past, manually recording serial or lot numbers could lead to greater inventory errors, which in turn could lead to serious consequences for businesses. Because ACCU-DART validates and records serial and lot information in real-time, countless hours can be saved. Updating serial and lot numbers with ACCU-DART is one of the quickest and most accurate ways of tracking this essential inventory information.
The Old Way:
- When shipping an order with serialized items, the warehouse staff would manually record each serial number for each item being shipped. Later, as the paperwork was entered into the accounting system, they would discover that a serial number was recorded incorrectly. Other than unpacking and rechecking the order, the only way to fix the problem was often to grab another existing serial number, or make one up from scratch. In either case, the result was perpetually inaccurate serialized inventory.
The ACCU-DART Way:
- When shipping an order with serialized items, the warehouse staff are automatically prompted to scan the serial number for each item being shipped. If the item was a lot item, ACCU-DART would prompt the user for the lot number and quantity. ACCU-DART verifies in real-time that this is a valid number. Upon shipping, ACCUDART also updates the accounting system. This significantly reduces user error and vastly improves serial/lot inventory accuracy.
Process ERP transactions from the warehouse floor
Unlike other inventory management systems that merely interface their database with an ERP solution, ACCU-DART integrates directly with the ERP system, allowing users to process transactions in Sage 300 ERP directly from the warehouse floor using handheld devices.
No Redundant Data
- Whenever you have multiple databases storing information you face the possibility of having to reconcile data. What do you do when the Warehouse Management System (WMS) says you have 14 on-hand, while your ERP system says you only have 12? Which is right? Are people in the organization making decisions based on the wrong data? ACCU-DART updates inventory information directly into the ERP system. As the warehouse staff process transactions, ACCU-DART validates and updates the ERP system in real-time. In this instance, if your ERP system says you have 12 on-hand, you can be assured that there are in fact 12 items on-hand. With no second set of data to reconcile, everyone has access to the most accurate information.
Buy only the modules you need
- WMS systems that employ a separate database often require you to process all your inventory transactions through their system. You therefore need to purchase a package with all the functionality – whether you need it or not. By integrating directly with your ERP data, ACCU-DART can be implemented on a mix and match basis. For example, you can use ACCU-DART to ship inventory and use your ERP system to receive inventory. You could even ship some orders using scanners and other orders using the ERP system. Because we are using your ERP data, ACCU-DART doesn’t care how the data was updated. You can add modules as needed.
Simple Interface = Comfort
- Systems that use separate databases generally require you to learn a whole new system in order to maintain your inventory. Because ACCUDART runs within your existing ERP solution, you and your staff do not have to learn new interfaces, data structures, or reporting. You continue to leverage your investment in your ERP expertise, while benefitting from the improved efficiency of inventory management.
Customize for your business
ACCU-DART is designed to be a flexible solution, allowing businesses to purchase the exact functionality they need. For some businesses with very unique requirements, ACCU-DART can be customized to do exactly what you need it to, making inventory control easy, in most environments. From unusual shipping/receiving needs, to complete custom systems in industries like organ procurement and other non-profits, the ACCU-DART team is able to engineer any customizations the client needs to solve their unique business issues.
Multiple Hardware Options
ACCU-DART is pleased to offer you a range of options for radio-frequency scanners to suit any budget/operational requirements. No matter which hardware you choose, ACCU-DART will communicate directly with your ERP system, validating and updating transactions in real-time. This ensures that no confidential data is stored on the devices at any time, minimizing security issues and allowing all users throughout the organization the most up-to-date information at all times.
iPhone/iPod
- Warehouse staff will benefit from the familiar hardware of iPhone and iPod devices. While these units may not be rugged enough for typical warehouse environments, you can add rugged cases (like Otterbox) to increase their survivability in the warehouse. The cost is also fairly low, so even if damaged they can be replaced fairly easily. ACCU-DART communicates via wifi or cellular connections.
Windows Mobile
- If you are looking for advanced scanner capabilities, you may want to look at Windows Mobile devices. These scanners are available with a range of capabilities, from a variety of manufacturers. These devices communicate through IIS and ACCU-DART Windows Mobile. These scanners are capable of handling tough environments (damp, freezers, etc.), long range scanning, other windows mobile functions (cellular phone, email, etc.), outside of wifi range and on cellular data connections.
Android
- Our newest hardware platform designed for Android devices. Similar to our iPhone integration, users who choose Android hardware benefit from familiarity with the system and low hardware cost. The ability to integrate with bluetooth scanners allows users to easily customize their hardware to fit their unique needs.
Worth Data
- Worth Data provides a range of scanners that have been designed specifically for real-time data capture like ACCU-DART. These are an easy to install set of scanners that include 1D or 2D bar code reading with 900 Mhz broad spectrum communications. A single base station that plugs into a PC can cover more than 300,000 Sq Ft. and can have range of 3 miles. Relays are available. If you are looking for solid, easy to use/implement solution then this may be right for you.
Desktop
- ACCU-DART offers a desktop version which allows you to use a PC for interacting with ACCU-DART. You can use your keyboard and/or a wedge barcode scanner to enter data into ACCU-DART. This is very handy for training and possibly for PCs that are acting as a Point of Sale (POS).
