Licensing
Starting with Field Extender Enterprise (FE) 2020F, Document Attachment Applets (DA) are offered as a feature in FE. The DA installation package and documentation are the same as for FE, the difference is in licensing only. While the full FE license offers document management across virtually all screens inside Sage 300cloud at a very modest price, a single applet provides the same functionality for a single screen at a fraction of that cost.
All file formats are supported
Files of any format and size can be attached to Sage 300 screens and opened from within Sage 300cloud screens provided that the corresponding applications are available.
Options to store electronic documents
There are two options for storing attachments - inside Sage 300cloud databases or on an external (cloud or on premise) storage.
Grouping of Electronic Documents
Attachments can be combined in Sets and Groups to ease data management.
Multiple Electronic Documents per Sage 300 record
Multiple electronic documents can be attached to the same Sage 300cloud record. As a simple example, attach multiple photos to an item, or a few personal documents like passport, visa, driving license to a US Payroll Employee.
